Though citronella and lemon grass appear similar, they have distinct properties. Citronella oil is used in the production of mosquito repellents, perfumes, soaps, and deodorants, among other products. Lemon grass, on the other hand, can be used to make herbal tea. Although it smells like lemon, it tastes milder and sweeter.
